Some pics from Farmington
Last week the girls and I went up to Farmington to hang out. We didn't do anything too exciting, but it was nice to get away and for the girls to get to spend some time with their cousins and grandparents.

New Experience

Last night my parents were in town and they watched the girls so me and Joe could go out. When Joe left his job in Socorro, his boss gave him a gift certificate for The Artichoke Cafe here in Albuquerque. We decided to give it a try last night. I tried the Pan-seared Duck breast. The first bite was okay, but after that it wasn't very good and I had to drink a lot of water to get it down. (That's the last time I eat duck!) The desert was really good though. I had a chocolate truffle torte with raspberry sauce. Mmmmm.... it was so good! Unfortunately, not only did I not like the duck, I was sick all Thursday night because of it. Now that we've tried a fancy and expensive restaurant, I'm more than happy sticking to our cheap meals!
Last weekend we had my sister, Kari Ann, and her family come stay with us for a few days. We went to the Zoo, Aquarium, and the Botanic Gardens. It was pretty fun. The girl's favorite part was the train ride between the parks. Here are some of the pictures that we took.

Funny Girl !
Kayla's so funny. She tends to fall asleep in funny places. Last night I went to check on the girls before I went to bed. Kayla wasn't in her bed or on the floor. It kind of scared me for a minute, and then I saw her little toes sticking through the bars of the changing table. She had fallen asleep on the bottom shelf. I put her back in her bed and then in the middle of the night I heard her get up. I went in there and she had gotten back in the changing table and was sound asleep again. I just left her there since she seemed to be comfortable and happy.

Don't Buy Stuff You Can't Afford!

My friend Paul had this video on his blog and I thought it was hilarious. Too bad a lot of people really don't get the concept, huh? Click on the link to watch the video.

The Cullen Family
I, like almost every other girl I know, am a Stephenie Meyers fan. Today they posted the cast that will play the Cullens in the movie Twilight. At first I was worried that they would mess the characters up, but they did a pretty good job. If you've read the books, you can tell who the characters are, so I won't list them. For you that don't know, the Cullens are vampires.

My new toy!!

I finally got my van !!!! On Saturday we bought a 2007 Chrysler Town & Country. I love it! We got a really good deal on it. I'm not trapped at home anymore! I realized last night that this is technically my first car. Joe bought the Nissan before we were married and all of my cars when I was a teenager belonged to my parents. This is MY car! I'm very excited.

Kayla's Haircut
Kayla's hair was getting really long, but it was tangled all of the time so I decided to cut it. I've never cut hair (besides Joe's) so I was a little nervous, but I think I did okay. Here are some before and after pictures.

The other day Aly got really quiet so I thought she was getting into trouble, and this is what I found. It was only 10 am so I wasn't expecting her to be asleep.

Another nephew!
Christmas Pictures
I finally got around to downloading our pictures onto the computer. I was going through them and not too many turned out, so I'll post the few okay ones.
Here's the guys moving my piano. I was so nervous! It may look easy, but that thing weighs a ton (more than most pianos)!

Safely at the bottom of the ramp.
Thanks Tanner, Lee, Spencer and Loren for helping us load and Jon, David, Keven, Dad, and Kari Ann for helping us unload. Thanks to my mom and dad for watching my girls for us!

Me being my nerdy self. I just couldn't resist riding Aly's bike down the ramp. (It was actually pretty fun!) Thanks Kari Ann for taking embarrassing pictures of me! ;-)

Kayla the Sunday before Christmas. This was only the 2nd time I've ever curled her hair. It takes a lot of hairspray to keep it curled!

Grandpa Stradling made these cradles for the girls for Christmas. I love how they can sit in the rocking chair and rock their babies. That was a very clever idea Grandpa!

Joe's Dad and Grandad on Christmas Eve. I don't have many pictures of them and I really like this one.

I took this picture of Aly this morning and I loved it, her dirty face and all!
